“And He said to them, Go into all the world and preach the good news (the Gospel) to every creature [of the whole human race]. He who believes and is baptized will be saved [from the penalty of eternal death]; he who does not believe [who does not adhere to, trust in, and rely on the Gospel and Jesus as Savior] will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: in My name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new languages; They will pick up serpents; and [even] if they drink anything deadly, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will get well. So then the Lord Jesus, after He had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and He sat down at the right hand of God. And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the message by the signs that attended it.”

“And the [instructions] which you have heard from me along with many witnesses, transmit and entrust [as a deposit] to reliable and faithful men who will be competent and qualified to teach others also.”
Before we go any further, there is something helpful you need to see.
Most of Module 6 has been about what you carry. The authority, the Name, the rhema, the armor, the legal standing at the right hand of God. All of it yours. And there is a question this lesson exists to answer: now that you carry it, what do you do with it next?
The Kingdom’s advance has never depended on a few gifted individuals operating in isolation. It depends on trained agents training other agents, each generation handing the commission forward with no break in the chain. Jesus did not train twelve men for a ministry staff. He trained twelve men to replicate what He was doing, then sent them out with authority to reproduce. The reason entire territories go uncontested is not a shortage of power. It is a shortage of trained people who know how to use what they already carry.
This lesson is about becoming the kind of agent who multiplies.
The Commission as Royal Decree
Start with what Jesus actually did in Mark 16. The word translated “preach” in verse 15 is the Greek kerysso (Strong’s G2784): to herald as a royal messenger, to proclaim publicly with the formality and authority of one who carries a king’s decree. The keryx in ancient culture was the official mouthpiece of the ruler. He bore the king’s insignia. He spoke not his own words but the throne’s decrees. To disregard a herald was to disregard the king who sent him.
Jesus was not commissioning His disciples to give religious talks. He was commissioning them as royal heralds of an already-established Kingdom, transmitting proclamations that carry the full weight of the throne behind them. When the disciples went out and “preached everywhere” in verse 20, this is what they did: not commentary, not opinion, but kerysso — royal declaration into the natural and spiritual atmosphere of every place they entered.
This is who you are. Not a private individual with spiritual opinions. A commissioned royal herald. When you make a warfare declaration, you are transmitting a King’s decree into the spiritual reality of a situation. The enemy’s response is not optional.
And when you teach someone else to do this — when you explain kerysso to a colleague, to someone in your church, to a family member who is learning to declare the Word — you are not sharing information. You are handing the commission forward.
The Multiplication Pattern
Four generations of trained agents in one verse. That is what 2 Timothy 2:2 contains.
Paul handed the commission to Timothy. Timothy was to transmit it to “reliable and faithful men” — pistois, the Greek word for those who show up, who keep their word, who maintain their walk. Those men were to be “competent and qualified to teach others also” — hikanoi kai allous didaxai, literally capable of teaching still others. The qualifier in every generation is not giftedness, seniority, or theological education. It is faithfulness.
The Greek word Paul used for “transmit and entrust” is paratithemai (G3908): to place something beside someone as a formal deposit, to entrust as a matter of trust and responsibility. This is the formal vocabulary of commission, not casual instruction. Paul was not mentioning ideas. He was making a legal deposit of authority into the next generation, the way a general formally transfers command.
One of my favorite voices on this principle is Kenneth E. Hagin, and he cuts straight to what this means:
“The Holy Spirit wants to reveal to believers ‘the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Jesus’ (Eph. 1:17). What is the wisdom and knowledge God wants to reveal to the believer about Jesus Christ? The Holy Spirit wants us to understand Jesus’ complete victory.”

When you train someone else in warfare declaration, you are not building your own ministry. You are adding a link to a chain that traces all the way back to the throne of God. That chain cannot be broken by the enemy. The only way it breaks is if trained agents stop training others.
Formation Advance
Paul’s word for the advance is stoicheo (Strong’s G4748): from stoichos, a row, a military rank. To march in formation, to keep in precise step. Five appearances in the New Testament, every one about ordered advance — “let us keep in step with the Spirit” (Galatians 5:25 AMPC). Warfare declaration is exponentially more effective in formation than alone. Leviticus 26:8: five shall chase a hundred, a hundred shall put ten thousand to flight.
Stoicheo* also means no one runs ahead of or behind the line. The trainer teaches others to keep step with the Spirit, not with the trainer’s personality. Produce people who hear the Spirit for themselves.

Placing Truth Where Wrong Thinking Lives
The most common barrier to warfare declaration is not lack of information about the Word. Most people who cannot declare have heard the truth. The barrier is wrong thinking that the truth has not yet displaced.
Paul’s primary training word for this is noutheteo (Strong’s G3560): from nous (mind) and titheemi (to place). Literally, to place something in the mind. To admonish by setting corrective truth precisely where wrong thinking currently lives. Paul used this word eight times (Romans 15:14; 1 Corinthians 4:14; Colossians 1:28; 3:16; 1 Thessalonians 5:12, 14; 2 Thessalonians 3:15; Titus 1:11), and every single use is active, hands-on, proximity-requiring work. You cannot noutheteo someone you are not in relationship with.
Colossians 1:28-29 is the definitive statement of the goal:
“Him we preach and proclaim, warning and admonishing everyone and instructing everyone in all wisdom (comprehensive insight into the ways and purposes of God), that we may present every person mature (full-grown, fully initiated, complete, and perfect) in Christ (the Anointed One). For this I labor [unto weariness] exerting my strength in accordance with His power that mightily works within me.”* (AMPC)
Paul’s threefold method: proclaim, noutheteo, didasko — has one goal: present every person teleion, fully mature, in Christ. Training warfare declaration is not a skill seminar. It is a maturation process. The person who has been noutheteo-trained does not merely know warfare scriptures. Their thinking has been restructured from the inside. They see the enemy’s actual current power, the believer’s actual current authority, and the Name of Jesus accurately — and they declare from that sight.
Your job as a trainer is to produce people whose thinking has been transformed — not people who can perform declarations while still secretly doubting whether any of it is real.
The Sword and How to Wield It
Every warfare declaration hinges on the rhema (Strong’s G4487) — from rheo, to speak. The word as it is actually spoken: the Spirit-prompted, specific utterance deployed in the precise moment of conflict. Ephesians 6:17 names it “the sword of the Spirit, which is the rhema of God.” Of everything Paul catalogs in the full armor (6:10-17), only one piece is offensive. The single offensive weapon is the spoken word.
Romans 10:8 says the rhema “is near you, in your mouth and in your heart.” The issue has never been access. The Word is already near every believer. The issue is activation — hearing which specific rhema the Spirit is directing in this moment and deploying it. Jesus modeled this in Matthew 4: each of the enemy’s three attacks met with a specific “It is written,” Spirit-directed precision, each word fitting that attack exactly.
The most common failure mode after someone speaks a warfare declaration is immediately checking to see if anything changed. Train people out of that reflex. The word was sent. Isaiah 55:11 holds. Stand in what was declared.
Three Things You May Already Be Thinking
Let me answer three objections before we get to the commissioning step.
“I am not qualified. I am still learning myself.” The qualification in 2 Timothy 2:2 is faithfulness, not expertise. If you have seen warfare declaration work and maintained your own freedom, you are qualified to pass that experience to someone else. Begin with what you have.
“What if I train someone and they fail?” The disciples failed too — they could not cast out a demon in Matthew 17, and Jesus debriefed them. Failure in training is data that feeds the debrief. A trained agent who has failed and been debriefed is more capable than one who has never been tested. Train people to bring failures back for theological processing, not to hide them in shame.
“Warfare declaration requires a special gift.” Mark 16:17 assigns the signs to “those who believe” — not to a gift class or ministerial order. The operating credential is belief in Jesus as Lord. Every blood-bought believer carries the authority of the Name. The gap between those who operate in it and those who do not is training: correct information, displaced wrong thinking, and supervised practice. That is exactly why this training exists.
The Commissioning Act

Paul’s letters to Timothy present commissioning as the apex of the training relationship. 1 Timothy 1:18 uses parangelian — the noun form of paraggello (Strong’s G3853): to transmit a message along a chain of command, to give military orders, to formally commission. Acts 16:18 is the warfare template: “I charge (paraggello) you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.” Paul did not suggest or negotiate. He paraggello-commanded in the Name that has all authority.
Matthew 28:18-20 gives you the chain of command:
“Jesus approached and, breaking the silence, said to them, All authority (all power of rule) in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Go then and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you, and behold, I am with you all the days (perpetually, uniformly, and on every occasion), to the [very] close and consummation of the age.”* (AMPC)
The “therefore go” in verse 19 flows from the authority in verse 18. The commission exists because the authority has already been established. When you formally commission a trained agent — in prayer, in the presence of others, with the explicit declaration that this person carries the authority of the Name of Jesus to go and do the works of the Kingdom — you are extending Heaven’s chain of command one generation further.
The person you commission carries authority that traces back to the throne of God. That is not spiritual metaphor. That is the theological reality of what it means to operate in the Name of Jesus.
Acts 1:8 sets the non-negotiable sequence: receive power from the Holy Spirit first, then go as witnesses. Training others in warfare declaration cannot skip the Spirit-baptism and Spirit-filling of the trainee. That is the ground from which every declaration and every commissioning proceeds.
The Chain Runs Through You
This is Lesson 60. The capstone of Module 6 and the completion of the Authority of the Believer series. Everything studied in this module converges at this point: not to stay with you, but to flow through you.
Ephesians 6:18 closes the full armor passage with prayer as the infrastructure that makes the armor operative. Paul’s specific prayer request in verse 20 is parresia — free, bold utterance. The same boldness required in warfare declaration. The prayer life and the declaration life are not separate tracks. The prayer life sustains the declaration life.
One trained agent in a workplace of forty extends Heaven’s reach into hours and spaces you will never personally enter. This is not a growth program. It is the Kingdom’s built-in design for territorial advance.
The completion of your own training is marked by the moment you commission someone else.
Speak It Now
Read this aloud. Speak it as kerysso: not as a hope, as a royal declaration.
I am a commissioned royal herald of the King of Kings. I declare Heaven’s decrees with the authority of the Name of Jesus, and the enemy cannot disregard what I speak in that Name.
I advance in formation with the Holy Spirit and with other agents of Heaven. I am not a spiritual lone ranger. I am one member of a coordinated formation, and our Spirit-directed advance produces exponential results.
I do not carry this training for myself only. I am a multiplier. I train others in what I have received, and I formally commission them to train others also.
The chain of Heaven’s authority flows through me to the next generation. I am trained. I am commissioned. I am deployed. And I take my place in Heaven’s advancing formation: to pray, to declare, to minister, and to raise up the next wave.
This Week
Name one person who is hungry for more — someone who believes but has not been trained in warfare declaration. Invite them to observe you the next time you step into a situation that calls for declaration. Then give them a supervised assignment. Debrief what happens. When their thinking and declaration posture are aligned with the Word, commission them formally. Pray over them. Declare that they are authorized to train others. Pass the parangelian forward.
